The Dangerous Liaisons

The Marquise de Merteuil solicits her former lover, the Viscount de Valmont, for an immoral challenge: she hopes to take revenge for an old infidelity by corrupting the young Cécile de Volanges, to take away her virginity before her marriage to the Count de Gercourt. Meanwhile, Valmont has his sights set on seducing Madame de Tourvel, a pious, young married woman. However, the pernicious designs of these two accomplices will prove far more harmful than they imagined.
