Cannes Pyrotechnic Art Festival 2025

This summer, Cannes lights up again with the 2025 edition of the Festival d’Art Pyrotechnique, an internationally renowned event organised by the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès since 1967. A must-see among the great summer festivals, the Festival is now the international reference for pyrotechnic shows, attracting thousands of spectators from all over the world every year.

A free, universal and spectacular show

From 4 July to 24 August 2025, six exceptional evenings will transform the Bay of Cannes into a veritable theatre of light. Fireworks synchronised to music, spectacular visual effects and immersive scenery bring the 500 metres of waterfront to life for an unforgettable experience.

A high-level artistic and technical compétition

More than just a show, the Festival is a prestigious international compétition, whereù the greatest pyrotechnic masters vie with each other in creativity to win the Golden Vestal, the Jury Prize and the coveted Audience Prize.

Each company presents an original fire lasting a minimum of 20 minutes

Each fire meets rigorous specifications including:

  •       Musical coherence,
  •       Aesthetic quality,
  •       Technical mastery.

The shows are pulled from five barges spaced 99 metres apart, supplemented by intermediary platforms (bargettes), for visual effects of unparalleled richness. Each show involves between 12 and 15 pyrotechnicians over four nights of set-up.

A mixed jury, guaranteeing excellence

  •      A technical jury, made up of two international experts who remain anonymous until’24 August (25% of the final score), will assess the rigour, safety, innovation and quality of execution.
  •        An artistic jury, made up of local figures from the world of art and culture, will judge the creativity, motion and visual direction.

The public also has its say

The Prix du Public is awarded thanks to online voting: After each fire, a week-long voting period opens. Each spectator can rate the performance from 1 to 5. The winner will be announced on 24 August at the closing ceremony.

New website

As of 4 June 2025, the Festival d’Art Pyrotechnique de Cannes will unveil a brand new website: Immersive design, intuitive navigation and enriched content: this rethought and cocooned platform offers a digital experience equal to the height of the festival.

A co-responsible festival

A pioneer in pyrotechnic co-design, the Festival innovates every year to reduce its environmental footprint without ever sacrificing the magic of the show. The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, organiser of the event, is ISO 9001, ISO 18788 and ISO 20121 certified, underlining its commitment to quality, safety and sustainable development. Easier access and encouraged soft mobility To facilitate access and limit environmental impact :

  •     The SNCF is adapting its transport plan on Festival evenings,
  •       The public is encouraged to carpool and use soft mobility.

Protocol méo

Strict protocols are in place to ensure public safety. A fire can be reported if :

  •       the wind passes 20km/h at the time of firing,
  •       the swell is more than 1m making it’installation of barges impossible
  •       in case of heavy rain or other unfavourable weather conditions.</Any postponements will be announced on the official website and social networks.
