Le Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes places innovation and technology at the heart of its new facilities. Today, it unveils its permanent digital studio, the Hi5 studio. A veritable television studio, with its own set, it is equipped with cutting-edge technologies to adapt to each customer. In this time of recovery for the events sector, it is an indispensable tool for organizers to make a success of their hybrid or 100% digital events.

A new initiative to tackle the health crisis

The Hi5 studio for a bigger audience and new customers

After consultation with all its partners and customers, le Palais des Festivals et des Congrès opted for a permanent, modular solution at the heart of its spaces and transformed the Salle Esterel into a veritable TV studio.

Equipped with a 120 m² stage and able to accommodate 350 people in the audience, the Hi5 studio offers event organizers the opportunity to expand their audience by professionalizing online broadcasting.

This digital studio is perfectly suited to the new formats of hybrid events and thus enables customers to increase their audiences and open up their events to other audiences.

Creating intense connections

A turnkey studio

To stay at the cutting edge of technology, le Palais des Festivals has brought together the best skills. Le Palais des Festivals’ sound and lighting technicians are renowned for their expertise, and can bring new ideas to customers.

Visual production is entrusted to Novelty, an expert in audiovisual trades.

Broadcasting is managed by Via Pass, specialized in event website services such as live broadcasts.

The customer will be able to either use their own streaming platform, or appropriate the OXP platform, offered by PublicisLive and Orange. A solution that makes it possible to build a real online program, in addition to broadcasting content from the studio.

Le Hi5 Studio is notably made up of:

1 10 x 3 m LED screen curved 2.5 pixel / mm – 4K definition
1 350-seat auditorium

Innovation supported by strong actions for the MICE industry

This studio is the concrete expression of the digital strategy led by le Palais des Festivals and deployed over the course of 2021, which also includes the following new features:

Hybrid City Alliance: a network of cities around the world enabling the organization of hybrid events in multiple hubs
Cannes Virtual Events: a 3D solution, in collaboration with Laval Virtual, enabling the organization of a 100% digital event.

These steps have also been accompanied by a strict health policy enabling the resumption of activity under the best possible conditions, notably via the internationally recognized GBAC Star Facility accreditation.

Le Palais des Festivals et des Congrès is investing in the incubation of new events to come from 2022, notably in promising sectors such as Artificial Intelligence, or risk management.
