MIDƐM+24: Yemi Alade, Stewart Copeland and Jean-Michel Jarre leave their mark on Cannes imprints

Patron of MIDƐM+24, Yemi Alade is the star of Afro-pop. After opening the African Nations Cup, Yemi Alade is present at Cannes. The Nigerian singer personifies the image of the African woman who is independent, funny and proud of her roots. With her powerful voice and energetic choreography, Yemi Alade draws her inspiration from the Afrobeat and R&B of her forebears Fela Kuti and Tony Allen, sprinkled with a healthy dose of pop, urban music, soul and gospel.

Stewart Copeland, the famous drummer and founder of the legendary band The Police, perfectly fulfilled his role as MIDƐM+24 patron by giving several lectures to students and professionals. Over the course of his career he has sold over 60 million records worldwide and received numerous awards, including seven Grammy Awards. Stewart Copeland marked Cannes with his dynamism and joviality and left his handprints for eternity.
