Three new footprints join the "Chemin des Étoiles" for the 8th season of CANNESERIES

For the 8th season of CANNESERIES, Cannes’ famous “Chemin des Étoiles” has been enriched with three new handprints. Three iconic personalities from the small screen took part in the handprint ceremony, reserved for outstanding figures from cinema and TV series.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan inaugurated the series on Friday April 25, followed by Josh Holloway on Sunday April 27, and Nicola Coughlan on Monday April 28. Each “ceremony” took place during the CANNESERIES photocall on the Majestic beach, under the flashbulbs of photographers. In this idyllic setting opposite the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, the three actors immortalized their footprints, joining some 450 others on Cannes’ “Chemin des Étoiles”. These film and TV legends include Quentin Tarantino, Spike Lee, Catherine Deneuve, Sharon Stone, Meryl Streep, Tim Burton and Sylvester Stallone.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is an American actor born in 1966, known for his roles in Grey’s Anatomy, Supernatural, Watchmen, The Walking Dead and The Boys. He plays Negan in The Walking Dead and its spin-off Dead City, presented in world premiere at CanneSéries.

Josh Holloway, born in 1969 in San José (California), is an American actor, producer and former model. He made his name with his role as Sawyer in Lost: The Departed, and went on to play Will Bowman in the series Colony. He is at CanneSéries for the series Duster, which has its world premiere at CannesSéries .

 

Nicola Coughlan, born in 1987, made her name in Derry Girls as Clare Devlin and in The Bridgerton Chronicle on Netflix, where she played Penelope Featherington. At Cannes, she received the Konbini Commitment Award at CanneSéries, for her activism against all forms of human rights injustice.
