The 76th edition of the next Cannes Film Festival will take place from may 16 to 27, 2023.

The Jury of the 76th Cannes Film Festival revealed!
On 28 February, Ruben Östlund was announced as President of the Jury. For this edition, which follows the 75th anniversary edition, the Cannes Festival wishes to salute the arrival of a generation of artists who direct, act, sing and write. Alongside the President, who has already won the Palme d'Or twice, are Moroccan director Maryam Touzani, French actor Denis Ménochet, British-Zambian writer and director Rungano Nyoni, American actress and director Brie Larson, American actor Paul Dano, Afghan writer Atiq Rahimi, Argentinian director Damián Szifrón and French director Julia Ducournau, who won the supreme award in 2021.

The Jury will have the task of awarding the Palme d'Or to one of the 21 films already announced in Competition. The winners will be revealed on 27 May during the Closing Ceremony, broadcast live by France Télévisions in France and by Brut. internationally. It will be followed by the screening, for the last session of the Festival, of Peter Sohn's animated film Elementary.

The official poster of the 76th Cannes Film Festival is dedicated to Catherine Deneuve. On June 1, 1968, the actress Catherine Deneuve is on the beach of Pampelonne, near Saint-Tropez, for the shooting of La Chamade by Alain Cavalier, adapted from the novel by Françoise Sagan.

"Elementary," the 27th film from Pixa Animation Studios, will be the final screening of the 76th Cannes Film Festival in World Premiere. Presented Out of Competition, the film will be released in theaters on June 16 in the United States and on June 21 in France.

French actress Chiara Mastroianni will be the master of ceremonies at the 76th Cannes Film Festival.

Swedish director Ruben Östlund will be the president of the jury for the 76th edition.

The Festival organisers have announced that they have entrusted this responsibility to one of the eight filmmakers in the world who have won two Palmes d'Or.

Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon at the 76th Cannes Film Festival.

In agreement with Apple Original Films, the Cannes Film Festival confirms that Martin Scorsese will present the world premiere of Killers of the Flower Moon, his new feature film. The event will mark the director's return to the Official Selection for the first time since the presentation of After Hours in 1986.

The Cannes Film Festival is delighted to welcome Martin Scorsese to the Croisette in May, to walk the steps of the Palais des Festivals alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, Jillian Dion, Tantoo Cardinal and other members of the cast and crew of Killers of the Flower Moon.

The film will be presented on Saturday 20 May in the Grand Théâtre Lumière.

Indiana Jones returns to the Cannes Film Festival for the world premiere of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, directed by James Mangold, starring Harrison Ford as the legendary hero. 15 years after the 2008 presentation of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull directed by Steven Spielberg, the latest instalment in the Lucasfilm saga will be screened on Thursday 18 May at Cannes and will be released in cinemas on 28 June in France and 30 June in the USA. On this occasion, the Festival will pay an exceptional tribute to Harrison Ford for his entire career.

Professionals from the cinema industry, international stars and up-and-coming actors rub shoulders with the crowd looking for surprising pictures and encounters. Enjoy!
