Présentation
While My Rock, in 2015, staged an iconic almost entirely masculine iconography of the history of Rock, this new work presents the feminine version: an artistic, historic and sociological depiction of the queens of Rock culture. 14 tracks from the musical heritage give many portraits of the women who have dared to transgress the social conventions and the diktats of masculine world, which would have preferred them to remain as muses or groupies, instead they chose to sing at the same level as men. Rebellion, anger, provocation, and sometimes madness, but above all passion and a thirst for freedom fuelled these artists, who have tattooed Rock with their indelible talents, despite their sometimes tragic destiny The 11 dancers set the stage alight like a concert, a true bubbly, joyful, moving and nostalgic whirlwind, to illustrate the incandescent lives of these female icons who shaped the soul of Rock and cleared the path for the female vocalists in coming decades.
