Trainee Manager (M/F)

The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes is one of the most prestigious event venues in the world. Every year, it hosts more than 70 trade fairs, congresses and corporate conventions, including the Cannes Film Festival, MIPIM, Cannes Lions, MIPCOM, TFWA and many other major international events.

We are looking for an experienced Stage Manager who can guarantee the operational excellence of the events hosted and manage a team of 6 project managers.

Reporting to the Sales Department, you will be the key contact for technical and logistical coordination, liaising directly with organisers, service providers and internal departments. MAIN TASKS

  • Team management: supervising, organising and leading a team of 6 project managers, ensuring that they develop their skills and guaranteeing the quality of the services provided.
  • Operational management: preparing, planning and supervising the technical and logistical implementation of events (set-up, operation, dismantling).
  • Multi-player coordination: working with organisers, external service providers and internal departments to ensure the success of events.
  • Quality, safety and compliance: ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, internal procedures and the Palais’ standards of excellence.
  • Customer relations: supporting organisers as a trusted partner, anticipating their needs and proposing appropriate solutions.
  • Optimisation and budget: managing schedules, optimising resources and contributing to budget monitoring.

CONDITIONS

  • Permanent contract based in Cannes.
  • Flexible working hours depending on activity (evenings and weekends possible).

YOUR PROFILE

  • Proven experience (minimum 7 years) in a convention centre, exhibition centre, major events venue or with a major trade fair/events organiser.
  • Solid management and operational coordination skills.
  • Excellent command of the technical environments associated with events.
  • Ability to anticipate, solve unforeseen problems and take rapid decisions.
  • Proficiency in office and business tools (USI/Momentus or equivalent).
  • A very good level of written and spoken English is essential.
  • Leadership, thoroughness, a sense of service and resistance to stress are essential.
