The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès and the Cannes Yacht Club wanted to organise a photographic exhibition dedicated to the Italian Carlo Borlenghi, famous photographer of the world's seas, during the 43rd edition of the Royal Regattas.

The most beautiful photographs by this sailing enthusiast are yours to discover at the Cannes Tourist Office from 18 to 25 September.

Carlo Borlenghi - a talented, renowned photographer

Born in 1956 in Bellano, Carlo Borlenghi spent his childhood near Lake Como dreaming and photographing sailboats. Unsurprisingly, this huge fan of sailing turned professional in sea photography when he grew up. He began his career collaborating with the luxury magazine "Uomo Mara Vogue". Considered one of the best photographers in this field, he travels the world, following the most prestigious international nautical events. He is the official photographer of Rolex nautical events and several America's Cup campaigns.

Since the early days, Carlo Borlenghi has produced numerous books and calendars, and is exhibited all over the world. He has collected distinctions including the "Marion Skubin" award for the best sports photograph, the "Marina di Pescara" three years in a row in Italy, "The Professional Grand Prix of Sea Photography" in Paris, "The Omega Prize" for the best sports photo of the year, "The Grand Prix of Offshore Racing Images"...

An exceptional exhibition not to be missed

This temporary exhibition is the result of years of travel on all the seas around the globe and is well worth a visit.

Beyond the 8 photos displayed on the forecourt of the Tourist Office, 6 triptychs exhibiting 35 photos are waiting to be discovered, not to mention the photos projected in the experiential space.
