From 22 November to 7 December, under the artistic direction of Didier Deschamps, the 2025 edition of the Cannes - Côte d'Azur Dance Festival is thinking big, with no fewer than 50 events bringing together the main stages in Cannes and the surrounding area.
Around the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, 9 cultural structures from the Alpes-Maritimes and the Var are united: Anthéa (Antibes), Cineum (Cannes), Forum Jacques Prévert (Carros), Scène 55 (Mougins), Théâtre de Grasse, Théâtres en Dracénie (Draguignan), Théâtre La Licorne (Cannes), Théâtre Le Forum - Estérel Côte d'Azur (Fréjus) and Théâtre National de Nice.
24 companies are on the programme, including 5 world premieres, 5 French premieres and 2 in the Southern Region, celebrating dance in all its generous diversity.
Two forms of work are particularly in the spotlight: major choreographic works combining live music, and those drawing on the heart of traditional dance.
The opening night offers a dazzling illustration of this with Afanador by Marcos Mauro for the Spanish National Ballet, inspired by the world of flamenco. This will be followed by a range of delightful performances by big names in dance, renowned companies, young ballets and exciting new discoveries, presenting a lively panorama of new works and the repertoire.
Thanks to MOV'IN Cannes, dance and cinema meet, magnify and question each other. This dance film competition, launched during the 2023 edition of the festival, has revealed the public's enthusiasm for the creativity and audacity of these two major arts, brought to life by artists from all over the world. Take part and vote for your favourite film!
The Festival will give you the chance to spend some quality time with choreographers, dancers and company directors in workshops and master classes to help you learn their techniques, not forgetting the opportunity to share your thoughts and ideas at the ‘bords de plateau’, round tables and lectures.
Don't miss this now annual event, and join us in sharing your passion for dance!
