With le Bal des Fous, le Palais des Festivals et des Congrès offers you a completely offbeat, delightfully demented and definitely immersive experience on the Riviera Terrasse. To take part in this costume ball in a fantasmagorical decor, all you have to do is come in disguise. It all starts in the Sunday afternoon sunshine and ends in the late evening, against a backdrop of electronic music played live by DJs…. An event that’s both popular and trendy. Be warned, total fun is on the agenda!

Sweet madness

Every summer, le Palais transforms the concept of the Sunday afternoon tea dance into an out-of-the-ordinary event.

A special theme, announced well in advance, sets the tone for the disguises. A few examples? The Bal de la Jungle, the Marvel Bal, le Bal des Fous de l’Espace, the Bal Tropical… Surely, it takes all kinds to make a party world!”

On the Terrasse Lérins, with plunging views over the port and la Croisette, a spectacular decor is set up. Agiant pergola protects from the sun but lets you see the starry sky as night gently falls over the ochre massifs of the Estérel.

The atmosphere is colorful, bright and damn fiery. The Cannes remake of the costume ball knows how to be beautiful.

Self-deprecation and letting go

The philosophy behind Bal des Fous? To bring people together and create links, without divides or preconceived ideas. This event, co-organized by le Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, likes to let participants express their dreams, self-mockery and let-go.

One condition is required: you have to come with your children’s soul. It’s a liberating and jubilant experience that anyone who has ever taken part in it will recognize.

The "Fous" return for free!

On-site, admission is free if you come with your best disguise in keeping, of course, with the Ball’s theme.

Of course, you have to be major and have the (mad) desire to have a great party, in an atmosphere as carnivalesque as it is original, to the sounds of electro or disco.

This not-to-be-missed event is capable of welcoming up to 3000 people from all over Europe. All participants are the main players, the “crazies“.

There’s no need for fire-eaters or guests, as in a classic disco. Yes, the real stars… are indeed the participants!
