Cannes is the premier business tourism city in France, after Paris. Thanks to the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, Cannes is strengthening its attractiveness and reassuring its international clients by engaging in an optimum health approach.

This evaluation handled during summer 2020 has enabled the Palais to be accredited for all its spaces: offices and organisation zones, Tourist Office and shop, delivery bays, terraces, exhibition spaces, receptions and conferences.

The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, harmony and clarity

Flagship of the economy in Cannes, the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in 2010 received a significant renovation including three indispensable phases of work. Three first areas have been extensively renovated over the past three summers (2013-2014 and 2015), the Grand Auditorium Louis Lumière, the foyer and the glass window.

In the fall 2015, the Palais des Festivals will have completed its modern renovation and will present to the Cannes Festival and the world a harmonious, bright and respectful environmental building. More than ever Cannes reinforces its radiation in France and abroad, and confirms its position of leader in the business tourism.

The Metamorphosis of the Palais
Ten years were necessary to complete the facelift of the Cannes Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. Ten years of modernization, and a huge beautification project were completed at the end of the summer 2015. The largest public establishment in the Maritime Alps, the Palais is the locomotive of the local economy.
Placed under the aegis of the SEMEC for the account of the city under a delegation of public service, completely without debts, since 2001 it contributes to the international influence of the city and offers it the title of second French business destination after Paris.

The famous 24 step staircase was renovated in 2013. The crucial step was the one of the 2014 summer. Realized by the Company Eiffage Construction Cote d'Azur, this work renovation, from July to September 2014, needed a perfect sequencing of the various trades, in a minimum of space, with a very intense schedule necessary to meet deadlines.

Today, the Palais provides a new space to its customers. its event organizers, visitors and spectators. A clean contemporary lined and mythical room, the Grand Auditorium Louis Lumiere has been fully embellished and modernized.

Three Privileged Spaces
The Grand Auditorium Louis Lumiere is completely renewed thanks to colors, materials, and reworked lighting. The carpet has been changed and the 2,300 seats, specially designed for this room, have benefited from an exclusive design for Cannes. The renovation of the foyer of the Grand Auditorium Louis Lumiere is spectacular. It has expanded volumes, exceptional brightness, and emphasized space with a completely renovated floor, new escalators and especially a new staircase that you can admire through the glass window, from the square. Other privileged areas included in this third phase are a new space of prestige, the Salon Croisette and its mezzanine.
