“MIDEM contributes to Cannes’ international reputation and keeps pace with developments in world music. The event had disappeared and was relaunched in 2023 by Cannes Town Hall, which bought back the brand. Since then, the event has gone from strength to strength. For this anniversary edition, the Town Hall has chosen to develop new free and accessible events to make it a time for popular celebration and sharing. Music is a powerful vector of excellence and collective emotion, and Cannes is proud to be its international crossroads”David Lisnard, Mayor of Cannes.
Since 1967, Cannes has played host to the world’s biggest music festival. Relaunched in 2023 by Cannes Town Hall and the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, MIDEM continues to reveal new talent and foster exchanges between artists, creators, producers and decision-makers from all over the world. On the occasion of this 60ᵉ anniversary, the city will vibrate to the rhythm of numerous concerts and highlights open to all.

The Greatest Night in Pop: a moment in music history
As part of MIDEM LIVE, there will be a special screening of the documentary film The Greatest Night in Pop on Wednesday 4 February at 8pm in the Grand Auditorium of the Palais des Festivals.

This rare documentary traces the genesis of this iconic work, which has become a universal symbol of solidarity and artistic mobilisation on a global scale.
