Les marches du Palais, made up of 24 steps lead up to the famous Auditorium Louis Lumière and offer a lovely view of the nearby Mediterranean Sea. Accessible from the Pompidou forecourt opposite the building, they are reserved for stars and lucky holders of the famous sesame during the Festival, but remain open to the general public outside events for a souvenir selfie. No visit to Cannes is complete without a detour down the mythical steps of le Palais des Festivals!
