The skills of le Palais des Festivals et des Congrès teams provide all the qualifications needed to hold a leader position in an ultra-competitive market. First and foremost, it relies on its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy. It also takes into account the challenges of sustainable development.

In order to respond to all customers and be able to meet their most demanding criteria, le Palais is therefore choosing excellence.

In 2009, le Palais thus became the first triple-certified European center.

The city is proud to be a “Sustainable Innovative Destination” (SID). This recognition mobilizes all players in the region to propose responsible offers in hotels, restaurants, transport, shopping and cultural leisure

Durable Cannes DID it!

The Palais des Festivals & des Congrès in Cannes is committed to sustainable tourism.
Since 2023, the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes has been certified as a Destination Innovante Durable (DID), a recognition awarded by France Congrès et Événements that promotes destinations committed to ecological, inclusive and responsible transition.

This label is based on nine major challenges and 40 concrete actions aimed at:
– Reducing the carbon footprint of tourism and event activities,
– Promoting social inclusion and accessibility,
– Preserving biodiversity and local heritage,
– Encouraging sustainable innovation and responsible consumption.

In 2024, this momentum will be reinforced thanks to the involvement of partners committed to working alongside the Palais:

This label is backed by ISO 20121 certification dealing with the challenges of responsible event management. It is divided into 8 issues for 26 actions:

  1. Deploying open and transparent governance
  2. Strengthening sustainable mobility to join the 2050 carbon neutrality trajectory
  3. Favoring responsible consumption and fighting against waste
  4. Making tourism a driver of inclusion
  5. Valuing the economy and protecting the destination’s heritage
  6. Mobilizing resources to foster sustainable innovation in the tourism sector
  7. Involving tourists, professionals and event organizers in the sustainable dynamic
  8. Add specific attention to public safety.
