This nomination reflects Cannes’ ongoing commitment to offering an exceptional experience to visitors from all over the world. Cannes is also the only French city to represent France’s expertise in the events industry, which provides over 455,000 direct and indirect jobs in France and generates nearly 65 billion euros in sales every year.

Cannes, world-famous for its Film Festival, which showcases cinema on an international scale, also stands out in many other sectors. The city hosts major trade fairs that are world-class references, music and dance festivals, cultural events and internationally renowned conferences such as MIPIM, Cannes Lions, Tax Free World Exhibition, the Cannes International Games Festival, ILTM and CANNESERIES.

In 2023, the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, the economic heart of Cannes, broke a record by hosting no fewer than 73 professional events and 80 cultural events.

All those who love Cannes are invited to get involved by voting for the city until 17 November.
