The G20 Summit on 3 and 4 November 2011 was a seminal event: Under the French presidency of Nicolas Sarkozy, the Palais welcomed the leaders of the world’s top twenty economic powers – including Barack Obama, Angela Merkel, Hu Jintao, Dmitri Medvedev and David Cameron – to discuss financial regulation and global economic stability.

This historic event cemented the reputation of the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès as a strategic centre for international governance, capable of ensuring security, discretion and operational excellence.
